Rhinebeck Schools

If you’re interested in the Rhinebeck School District, the below interview with Albert Cousins, Superintendent of Schools, is a must see!

The public school system in Rhinebeck has enjoyed ratings among top for several years in Dutchess County.  Rhinebeck is a smaller school district, reporting approximately 950 students.

The school is divided into two buildings:  Chancellor Livingston Elementary School (grades K-5), Bulkeley Middle School (grades 6-8) and Bulkeley High School (grades 9-12)

Take a look at the Rhinebeck Central School District beyond the ratings with Albert Cousins, Superintendent of the Rhinebeck Central School District.  The below video covers goals, priorities, programs and integration within the Rhinebeck community.  Hope you find informative!

Rhinebeck - Sophisticated charm

Located approximately 110 miles from New York City and 50 miles from Albany, the charming downtown Rhinebeck area has been registered in National Historic Places since 1979 for its collection of preserved buildings and architectural gems.

The Village of Rhinebeck is nestled east of the Hudson River with views of the majestic Catskill Mountains.  Take a stroll down the tree lined streets dotted with historic homes in the Village to find specialty independent boutiques and shops, day and stay spas, fitness and wellness, wine shops with tastings, top rated restaurants and the Sunday farmer’s market

Get Your Zen On! Things to do in Rhinebeck

Rhinebeck is a cultural magnet offering performing arts, galleries, independent film, historic homes and architecture.  Enjoy festivals and special events throughout the year at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds.  Outside of the upstate Village bustle, you’ll find Catskill Mountain and Hudson River views, the Omega Institute focused on holistic studies and personal growth, hiking and biking trails, orchards, swimming lakes, farm stands, sleigh riding hills offering majestic Hudson Valley views, Christmas tree farms and horses enjoying their paddocks.  The Old Rhinebeck Aerodome offers a museum spread across four buildings and summer weekends host pilot staged dog fights and aviation skills demonstrations in biplanes and WWI fighters.

An abundance of offerings unfold on a stroll through the Village of Rhinebeck.  This is a condensed list of favs and by no means comprehensive.

For a bite, I’m a creature of habit with much more to explore yet in Rhinebeck.  Aba’s Falafal, Cinnamon Indian, Aroi Thai, and Terrapin are regular stops.  Market Street Cafe is one, among many, on my “to do” radar.  Rarely a week without a stop into Village Pizzaand refill of  “Al Attitude.”  For a variety of breads, it’s tough to beat Bread Alone.  My child has repeatedly proven we cannot make it a week without at least something from Buns and Burgers.  The sweet spot and a yummy cup of Chai go to Samuels.  There are so many more worthy restaurants.  This is truly just a sampling of options.

Al at Village Pizza is all about personality and great pizza.  He was quite the hit across social media platforms with this post.  Check it out.
